CURRENT DEAN OF STUDENTS
ROBERT W. WILSON, Dr. Robert W. Wilson - our present Dean began in January, 2011. He taught in the college for many years prior to his appointment.
Brother Wilson is a graduate of Tennessee Temple University, 1974, Chattanooga, Tennessee; and a graduate of Victory
Baptist Bible College and Seminary.
Brother Wilson pastored for 21 years at the Harvest Baptist Church, Newport News, Va. He is a native of Marietta, Ga. He wife, June,
a native of Newport News, Va., has a BA and is currently employed by Northrup Grumman Corporate.
The Wilsons have been married for 41 years.
FORMER DEANS
DR. THOMAS W. GILES, SR., our past dean came on board September 1998. He taught in the college for 10 years prior to his appointment as the Dean of Students. Brother Giles served as Dean until the Lord called him home in 2009. He was a graduate of Central Baptist College in Hampton, VA; Victory Baptist College in Hampton, VA; Bethany Bible College and Seminary in Dothan, AL; And Andersonville Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Camilla, GA.
Dr. Giles pastored for over twenty years. Dr. Giles was a native of Danville, VA, and a retired Army Warrant Officer. Dr. Giles and his wife, Dr. Sharon Giles, served in the teaching ministry together. Dr. Giles held a Bachelor of Bible, a Bachelor of Ministry, a Master of Bible, a Master of Ministry, a Doctor of Religious Education, a Doctor of Theology, and a Doctor of Ministry.
MR. EARL F. HODGES, our first dean, served as dean from September 1987 to May 1993. He graduated from Baptist Bible College of Springfield Missouri in May 1967 with a Bachelor of Bible. He began serving as Dean of Central Baptist College of Hampton, Virginia in September of 1967. He held this position until May of 1978, when he resigned to take a pastorate in Branford, Florida. He served in this position until 1983 when he was called to teach at Baptist University of America in Atlanta, Georgia.
In 1987 he accepted call by Victory Baptist Church to return to Hampton, Virginia to aid in the founding of Victory Baptist Bible College. He became the first dean and served in this position for 5 years and 6 months. Because of declining health he resigned in May of 1993 and moved with his wife, Jean, to Texas near his son. He lived three months from that time and went home to be with his Savior.
After his graduation from Baptist Bible College he continued his studies to be the best teacher possible. He had such wisdom and knowledge that impressed many in the field of Christian Education.
DR. MILTON LEE GODFREY, III, our second dean, served as dean from July 1993 to September 1998 – 5 years and 2 months. Dr. Godfrey is a graduated of Atlantic Baptist College. He was in the pastorate many years at Faith Baptist Church in Emporia, Virginia. After leaving Faith Baptist Church he accepted the position as School Supervisor for Victory Baptist School and Dean of Victory Baptist College. He received his Master of Religious Education from Victory Baptist Seminary in May of 1994. He left the college in September 1998 to take a position with the Accelerated Christian Education Staff in Lewisville, Texas. Later he came back to finish his doctorial work with Victory Baptist Seminary, and graduated with a Doctor of Religious Education in January 10, 2002. At present Dr. Godfrey is the pastor of Fairview Baptist Church and principal of their school in Chesapeake, Virginia. His wife, Brenda Godfrey, serves with him in the school.
